    I recently heard a young gal talking in a giggly, flirty tone about Chris Tomlin. I’ve heard teen girls describe Toby Mac as being “hot”. In case you didn’t know, Chris Tomlin and Toby Mac are both married men. When I hear things like this, I’m reminded of a Jars of Clay concert I attended many years ago.     Adoption

    Adoption…it’s a hard, emotional, beautiful, thing. My brother was adopted, so I’ve seen first hand the joy and struggle adoption can bring to a family. Right now, I have many, many, many friends who have adopted or are in the process of adopting. It’s heartbreaking to watch the emotional roller coaster that so many of my friends have been on. It’s also a privileged to pray for them and walk with them through the process. I wrote this short story a couple of years ago, but I’m sharing it today in honor of all my adoptive/adopted friends.   We painted the nursery the palest shade of pink.
